Recently, the Vanghmun village in Jampui Hills of North Tripura bordering state Mizoram has been declared as the cleanest village. It is situated about 200 Km away from Agartala and is the highest hill range in the state bordering Mizoram. This permanent seat of eternal spring is situated at an altitude of 1000 m above sea level.

His title ‘Raja Bahadur’ is given to him by the Maharaja of Tripura due to his wise ruling over his subjects and also good relation with the Maharaja himself.
The neat and clean traditional wooden houses of the local inhabitants combined with greenery all around provide excellent opportunities for eco-friendly tourism in the hill range.
During November every year, the unique Orange Festival is celebrated in the Jampui hill where a large number of tourists both domestic and foreign, participate and enjoy.
‘Eden Tourist Lodge’ at Vanghmun village in the Jampui hill has a capacity of 20 persons to stay in well equipped with all modern amenities.
In addition, local hospitable Lusai people have also constructed ‘paying guest accommodation’ in their houses.
Boating facility in the Sabual village of the hill range has been developed where other water sports facilities will also be provided shortly.
