M. Asnikumar, state spokesperson BJP Manipur Pradesh condoled on the unfortunate demise of CDS General Bipin Rawat today in a tragic helicopter crash. In his condolence message he expressed: “Chief Of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat was a soldier par excellence.

A bonafide leader of men who was widely respected and highly decorated with an impeccable record of distinguished service, he certainly left his mark. An Innovator by heart, he played a key role in modernising our armed forces and security apparatus.

It is truly saddening and unfortunate that such a huge asset of our nation has left us untimely. His demise is a huge loss for our nation. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family and loved ones of General Rawat and the officers and soldiers who passed away in this unfortunate event.

May the departed souls rest peacefully in heavenly abode”.
