The Ink of My Existence…

Jay Sur

The Ink of My Existence…

I write not for greed, glory or gold
But my presence to you be known,
With the unabated flow of my pen
Life’s naked truths are shown,
With every stroke of my line
Seeds of rhapsody is sown…

The crispy paper’s my stage
My spirit is my ultimate throne,
Where words tango and waltz
The meanings are overblown,
I write not for greed, glory or gold
But my presence to you be known…

Through each of my velvety stanza
My cushiony ethos are overtly grown,
Racing with the vastness of time
I cover the volumes in time unknown,
I write not for greed, glory or gold
But my presence to you be known…

My ink captures the fleeting moments
Memories cherished & flashback honed,
Retaining the legacy in rhymes and lines
Those creepy sentences are of my own,
I write not for greed, glory or gold
But my presence to you be known…

Pirating the locution from treasure of mine
Slipping from mushroom’s roof sown,
My existence survived on the golden nib
Rhythm and eloquence mired in crown,
I write not for greed, glory or gold
But my presence to you be known…

As twilight falls and stars softly gleam
My words linger in the trespassers zone,
It’s time now to see the tapestry of paper
Binding together my thoughts where roam,
I write not for greed, glory or gold
But my presence to you be known…
