InfoCom Solution a business consulting wing of Knowledge Resource Centre Foundation (KRC Foundation) has launched its operations at Silchar, the second biggest commercial town of Assam. InfoCom Solutions is in the process of giving ‘information’ to the general public; spreading various targeted ‘communications’ of businesses and also providing physical solutions to both consumers and business houses.

The town-based digital business directory will be published for Silchar and Haflong initially and shall spread across in other places of NE India. The directory will be in the form of digital format and shall be available to public at a nominal annual membership cost informed Biswadeep Gupta, Managing Trustee of KRC Foundation who is also editing the Directory. It is under his leadership and vision the project is being undertaken by KRC Foundation.

It is imperative today that consumers make an informed decision looking into increasing lifestyle of people and on the other hand consumers want quality products & services at the right price and at the right time sitting at their homes, says Biswadeep.

So there is a need to provide information to the consumer which is validated, taking into consideration the pros and cons. InfoCom’s business model is based on making life simple for consumers and acting as a consultant for their personal, professional, and social happiness. explains Biswadeep.

On the other hand, companies who are providing services and products are looking out for niche clients. Here InfoCom provides them with a platform to communicate their deliverables while InfoCom does a validation process before promoting these businesses to their registered members.

One can register (paid listing) their business and services in the directory both local businesses as well as outside entities as there will be a section for national and regional companies. Various companies and service providers can also publish advertisements in the Directory, he informed.

Biswadeep concluded that these projects are undertaken in partnership with a local investor who has joined hands with KRC Foundation. In the first phase Silchar, Imphal, Haflong, and Guwahati projects would be launched. The date of launch of other places will be declared soon.
