Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar released the booklet ‘Jan Connect’ and inaugurated an Exhibition on  ‘Furthering India’s Development – 100 days of Bold Initiatives & Decisive Actions’.

The Government highlighted its scrapping of article 370 and 35A and further bifurcation of J&K into two Union Territories as pathbreaking decision towards bringing Jammu, Kashmir to mainstream.

On Economic Reforms and making India towards a $5 Trillion Economy the reports talks about bank mergers, capital infusion, credit expansions through public sector banks and support to Non-Banking Finance Companies and Housing Finance Companies.


Ease of Doing Business- It talks about reforms and changes brought about in CSR rules, Tax reforms, MSME to get GST refunds within 30 days and tax holidays for Start up. It talks about single environmental clearance for MSME

Ensuring Social Justice to all Sections of Society. In this section of the Government report, highlights the Triple Talaq bill , protecting girl child against sexual abuse, upholding the rights of transgender, various schemes for tribal welfare, and minorities welfare, wider protection of labour force, tackling the menace of illicit deposits.

Empowerment of all: Development reaching unreached where statistics are provided of various social schemes of the Government. One Nation one Ration card, Ujjawala Yojona, National Urban Livelihood Mission is highlighted.

Towards Doubling Farmers’ Income: The report talks about extending PM- KISAN safety umbrella to all farmers. In 100 days Rs.8955 Crores have been transfred to farmers families. Pension to small and marginal farmers, higher minimum support prices for Kharif crops.

Towards Commanding Water Security: The report points towards the creation of the new Jal Shakti Ministry and various campaigns on water conservation, water management and access to clean drinking water.

Good Governance: In this section the various projects in multiple sectors are detailed like weeding out the corrupt ( 49 taxman being retired), repealing 58 redundant laws, strict action against terrorism, new Motor Vehicles Bill, boosting railways, 153 new projects under smart city mission, focus on tourism etc.

First Government Decision – Dedicated to those who protect India: Major changes were brought about in PM Scholarship schemes under National Defence Funds. Now the scheme is also extended to children of State police officials who are martyred in terror attack or naxal attack.

Focus on Higher Education Infrastructure: Major reforms brought about in medical education, 75 new medical college approved, Fut India Movement, boost to sports.

On the edge of Discovery: Talks about the Chandrayan 2 mission and determination to carry forward along with failures.

Security and Defence Sectors: Highlights strengthening cordination between defence forces, induction of Apache Helicopters, better benefits to Central Armed Police Force personnel

Empowering North-East: A special mention of North East India where out of the target set for 200 projects worth 3000 Cr the reports states that an estimated 186 projects have been implemented.
