14 students were expelled for ragging in Silchar Dental College

This time, 14 students were expelled for ragging in Silchar Dental College. After the ragging incident at Dibrugarh University, the incident of ragging happened at Silchar Dental College. There has been a commotion across the state of Assam, because of this ragging and now Silchar Dental College also faced a similar incident. The accused 14 students have already been expelled from the hostel. On the 1st of this month, an incident of ragging of a first-year student took place in the college.

Then the ragging victim student filed a complaint with the Central Entry Ragging Squad Committee. And the Central Entry Raging Squad directed the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar to investigate. DC constituted a committee to investigate and immediate action was taken against 14 students. The accused 14 students were expelled from the college hostel.

The accused are third and fourth-year students of Silchar Dental College informed Manjula Das, Principal of the Dental College.
