3 Crores contribution towards cyclone Fani relief work by SAIL employees

Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman, SAIL handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik yesterday in presence of Union Minister of Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan at Odisha Bhawan in New Delhi.

The employees of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) have contributed Rs 3 Crore towards the relief work of cyclone Fani to Odisha Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). 

Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman, SAIL handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik on 14th June, 2019 in presence of Union Minister of Steel, Dharmendra Pradhan at Odisha Bhawan in New Delhi.

Earlier, SAIL stood up proactively to help cyclone Fani affected areas and had moved in electricity poles on priority basis in the state of Odisha while adjusting its regular production. 

The Company moved in special quality Wide Parallel Beams electric poles on topmost priority basis responding to the immediate requirement of the State Government.
