Assam Rifles troops under IGAR (S), apprehended one gold smuggler & recovered 47 Gold biscuits weighing 7.771 Kgs from Khudengthabi, in Tengnoupal district of Manipur.

The approximate value of the recovery is stated to be Rs 2.95 Cr.

Assam Rifles continues to monitor this route between Moreh to Imphal which is a conduit route for transport of drugs, banned medicines, arms etc. Security forces lead by Assam Rifles which conducts the searches are able to restrict the illicit movements of goods and arms.
