living in Dima Hasao.

Dima Hasao Autonomous Council Chairperson Ranu Langthasa graced the occasion as chief guest while Executive Member Nojit Kemprai and other dignitaries attended where all the 50 performers performed spectacular Bihu Dance at Lalfield on Friday.
Chairperson Ranu Langthasa in her enlightening speech encouraged the Bihu performers also Chief Minister’s vision of indignity and thanked him for including Dima Hasao in the grand Bihu celebration.
Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner, Simanta Kumar Das said that in order to include the Bihu dance in the Guinness Book of World records, the State Government has decided to select 11,140 Bihu dancers from all over Assam. Thus we have also selected 50, out of which 35 are dancers and 15 are drummers from Dima Hasao.
