Haflong : Ceremonial release of 14th installment under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) to the farmers, landholder was a held at District Library Auditorium hall Haflong in DimaHasao, organized by department of Agriculture & Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dima Hasao on Thursday, where a total of 6418 farmers have been benefitted.

Under this scheme, eligible farmer families are provided a benefit of Rs.6000 per year in three equal installments of Rs.2000 each.

Assam Minister For Power, Sports & Youth Welfare, etc Nandita Gorlosa attended the programme as chief guest along with Chairperson Ranu Langthasa, DHAC, Deputy speaker Bimol Hojai, Executive Members, DHAC, Ratan Jarambusa, , Nojit Kemprai, Nipolal Hojai, and MACs of DHAC.

Speaking on the occasion Assam Minister Nandita Gorlosa congratulated all the beneficiaries and put an emphasis on the importance of PM-KISAN scheme. She further requested the agriculture department to give much more importance to the marketing.

In the programme Chairperson Ranu Langthasa raised awareness and the need to enjoy full fledged benefits from the scheme by all the farmers belonging to the village areas. She also highlighted that the farmers from the village areas are required to have a proper documents in order to have access to the scheme.
