The Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK), Longleng along with District Task Force (DTF)  conducted an advocacy campaign on women issues and schemes on 30^th April and 1^st May 2019 at Tamlu and Namsang block, Longleng respectively.

R. Daniel Angami, EAC, appreciated the MSK Longleng for organizing the program for the upliftment of women and girl child in the remote villages.  He encouraged the women folks to be confident and stand for their rights and also to take such programs as an opportunity for the welfare of women. He further assured to render all possible assistance and support in any activities meant for the empowerment of women and girl child.

Phungla Phom, official of MSK emphasized on issues and schemes related to women and girl child. She encouraged the women folks, especially the pregnant women and lactating mothers to avail the benefits meant for them.

A special session was also held to discuss and redress the problems and issues faced by the women and girl child in the society.  The program was attended by the village council members, church leaders, Ashas, Anganwadi Workers besides a host of women and girl child.
