The Minister said that various programmes have been taken to increase employment opportunities and income in the rural areas of the state through animal husbandry and fisheries
Agartala : Animal husbandry and fisheries play an important role in the development of rural economy says Tripura Minister Sudhangshu Das. He also stressed and said that the government has also given priority to the development of these two sectors in the overall development of the state.
Sudhangshu Das who is the ARD and Fisheries Department was in a review meeting of the District-Level ARD and Fisheries Department on 19 th April, at Dhalai district of Tripura where he enquired about the various development programmes of ARD and Fisheries Department.
The Minister said that various programmes have been taken to increase employment opportunities and income in the rural areas of the state through animal husbandry and fisheries. The opportunity of all these programmes should be extended to the people.
The Minister echoed that Chief Minister of Tripura Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha is sincere in the socio-economic upliftment of people in rural areas. The Chief Minister emphasises on making the state self-sufficient in fisheries and animal feed.
As both these departments have various schemes of central and state government Sudhangshu Das urged officials to be more careful in implementing all these schemes.
All the water bodies in the district should be used for fisheries advised Das and stated that if the economy of rural areas is strong through animal husbandry and fisheries, the financial development of the state will also accelerate.
