The Union Cabinet on 14 Jun 2022 approved a recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the Armed Forces. The scheme is called AGNIPATH and the youth selected under this scheme will be known as Agniveers.

Army Recruitment Rally under the Agnipath Scheme will be held for all districts of Manipur at Bhagat Stadium, Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur from 07 September to 23 September 2022.

Detailed notifications giving out eligibility criteria and QRs are available on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in. Online registrations for the candidates will be open from 05 Jul to 03 Aug 2022. 

Online registration is mandatory for participation in the rally. Candidates will be intimated date of attendance through admit cards 10 days before the rally. 

For the present recruiting year, the Government has given relaxation in age by two years. The scheme also allows bonus marks for candidates, who have qualifications from Government recognised ITIs.
