NAHARLAGUN : Calling upon all the officers to work as a team, the Minister for Agri& allied Gabriel D. Wangsu today appealed them to make the most of services of KVKs, and work hand in hand for the overall development of the state.
Addressing the review-cum-coordination meeting of the Department of Agriculture here on Tuesday, the Minister advised the officers to secure all the residential and farmland through proper documentation by mapping and obtaining LPC from district administration so that legal proceedings can be initiated to combat encroachment.
Accompanied by Advisor Talem Taboh, MLA and Commissioner for Agriculture Bidol Tayeng, Wangsu reiterated and urged upon the officers to protect seeds and germplasm of the state as a primary responsibility.
“There may be hitches in executing some projects but it must be ensured that germplasm of any part of Arunachal is protected at all cost,” he added stating that seeds will be their ultimate USP (Unique Selling Proposition) for the state in future.
He assured the officers of all possible help from his side as a Minister, while informing that roadmap is being set up to address all concerns and accelerate growth of agriculture in the state.
However, he appealed all the officers to work as a team to realise that dream of prosperity for the people of the state. “I walk the talk and but as a minister I have no such magic wand to complete all the tasks in one go, but I genuinely assure you that all concerns would be looked into,” the minister added.
MLA cum advisor to the Minister Talem Taboh also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, the review meeting began with Commissioner Agri Bidol Tayang highlighting the topics of the review meeting followed by technical session.
The meeting was attended by the Director, Joint Director, Scientists from KVKs, District Agriculture Development Officers and Agriculture Officers from different parts of the state Arunachal Pradesh.
