The NEEDP Startup Summit, renowned as the largest startup extravaganza of the North East, took place recently on January 29 at Taj Vivanta Guwahati, Assam. The North Eastern Council (NEC), Govt. of India, in collaboration with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, initiated a groundbreaking endeavor last year to foster socio-economic development and employment generation in the North-East region of India. This initiative, known as the North East Entrepreneurship Development Program (NEEDP), identified and empowered 270 promising entrepreneurs from across the entire North East through comprehensive incubation and pre-incubation programs. All startups underwent nearly a year-long incubation and pre-incubation process, meticulously evaluated by the esteemed juries of NEEDP. During the NEEDP Startup Summit, a significant achievement was the recognition of Barak Valley (comprising three districts of South Assam) Startups, Graduate Farmer Agrovet Pvt Ltd. among the Top 20 startups from a pool of 270 promising entrepreneurs. 

These startups received Grant support of rupees ten lakh, it have been awarded the grant and seed fund to expand and scale up the business. This acknowledgment underscores the dedication and ingenuity of entrepreneurs from Barak Valley and their potential to drive meaningful change and progress in the region.  Graduate Farmers is a one-stop solution for innovative agri-farming and business. Year-round mushroom cultivation with high-tech technology, mushroom processing, and Antibiotics-free Poultry Farming, Fish farming. The Graduate Farmers startup offers Training and support in the Agri sector specifically for Mushroom and Antibiotics poultry farming in Barak Valley Assam and the North East region. Both the co-founder is trained from PNB RSETI ( Rural Self Employment Training Institute)  Silchar, Cachar and their staff also received training under RSETI Silchar, Cachar under EDP on Krishi Udyami.
