An explosion took place in front of a construction company’s base camp in Tarinipur, Part-III, Katigorah in the Cachar district on Wednesday.

As per reports, the blast occurred around 4:15 pm on Wednesday near the entrance gate of the base camp (project office) of Jandu Infratech Limited in Tarinipur, Part-III, about 7km from Katigorah police station. A tree was found damaged, however, no one was injured in the incident.

A team of Katigorah police rushed to the spot receiving the information of the incident and carried out a preliminary investigation. Cachar Superintendent of Police Numal Mahatta and police officials also reached the spot and probed the matter. Inquiry was going on by the police till the filing of this report.
