The maiden visit of Tuliram Ronghang Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council to the remote Khasi Kharwang  community village, Mynser of West Karbi Anglong yesterday.

His trip to that locality has overjoyed the villagers. The village is within the general area of Chinthong.““He is the first Chief Executive Member to visit that Khasi dominated area since the formation of the council; although it’s a revenue village of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council.““United Khasi People’s Organization president Pynshngainlang Rattane while expressing his gratitude to Ronghang said that Tuliram Ronghang’s visit has made a record in the history of the council.

The Chief Executive Member laid the foundation stone for the erection of the place of worship of the Khasi Kharwang community. He declared that the council will pay Rs. 5 lakhs from its budget for observation of the annual festivals and rituals of the Khasi people. He pledged to carry out developmental works in that region.
