Centre asks states, UTs to provide their comments on Education Policy by 31st July

Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said “Education is the foundation for making a new India that is competent, empowered and prosperous.”

Centre has requested all States and Union Territories to hold consultations within their States and provide their tentative comments on the National Education Policy document by 31st July 2019.

Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said this while chairing the national workshop on 5- year vision document and national education policy in New Delhi on Tuesday. He said education is the foundation for making a new India that is competent, empowered and prosperous.

“States and Union Territories run most of the schools and their involvement in the process of finalising the Vision document is very crucial”, HRD Minister Pokhriyal said
