“Today, on this holy day of Rakhi, like every year, sisters have come here to tie Rakhis. It is our responsibility to care for our sisters and ensure their well-being. Half of the population comprises women.
Women are now not only engaged in household work but are also contributing to various workplaces outside the home. Considering this, we must prioritise their safety and security. I am truly happy to have so many sisters here today,” CM Saha said.
He further mentioned that the state government is actively working to uphold the rule of law in Tripura.
“While some sporadic incidents occur, we take stringent action whenever they happen. If our sisters are happy, it benefits us all. We have always advocated for a Nasha Mukt Tripura (drug-free Tripura), but now we must also strive for a Hinsa Mukt Tripura so that people can work and move freely across the state without fear. The crime rate has significantly decreased in the state,” Saha added.
