Gogoi emphasized the necessity for the MEA to keep the opposition informed about the actions being taken by the Indian government
NEW DELHI : In light of the escalating political turmoil in Bangladesh, Gaurav Gogoi, the Deputy Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha, has called for continuous dialogue between the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and opposition leaders.
Gogoi emphasized the necessity for the MEA to keep the opposition informed about the actions being taken by the Indian government.
He stated, “I want the Ministry of External Affairs to remain in constant touch with the leaders of the opposition parties. Keep providing us the information about the steps the Government of India is taking.
We are also getting information from various sources. If there is a dialogue between the government and the opposition parties, then we will also be able to convey our information to them.”
Gogoi highlighted the importance of this communication, noting that the opposition also has access to valuable information from various channels.
He stressed that a collaborative approach, involving regular exchanges between the government and opposition, would ensure that all parties are well-informed and can effectively contribute to the diplomatic efforts concerning the crisis in Bangladesh.
