India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Gujarat’s coasts. Around 3 lakh people have been evacuated.

A deep depression over the east-central and adjoining the southeast Arabian Sea has intensified into cyclonic storm ‘Vayu’ and is likely hit the Gujarat, Porbandar and Veraval coast by June 13 morning.

Cyclone wind threats on the coast of Gujarat and Maharashtra by Thursday noon said the Deputy Director-General Meteorology, Mumbai IMD, KS Hosalikar.

70 trains have been cancelled so far by Western Railway. Winds can run at speeds of 150 Kmph to 180 Kmph.

PM Modi tweeted the confidence of every possible help. The school will remain closed for two days in Gujarat.
