Shillong: Despite the emphatic win in Karnataka nothing is going right for the Congress in Northeast, including Meghalaya where reports suggest that two members of Congress are set to join the Conrad Sangma-led National People’s Party (NPP).

The two Congress members have been identified as– Carnes Sohshang and Batskhem Ryntathiang and both of them failed to register win in the last Assembly election.

NPP sources said that both these Congress turncoats called on Sangma and Meghalaya deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong on Wednesday and discussed matters related to their possible entry to NPP in the coming days.

Meghalaya is not new to such sort of politics as the ruling combination always attracts the attention of the members from the opposition camp.

This time Sohshang and Ryntathiang has turned their attention to the ruling regime.
