Dima Hasao Autonomous Council Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa ceremonially distributed Orunodoi 2.0 cards to five thousand new beneficiaries of Dima Hasao at N. L. Daulagupu Stadium, Haflong on Wednesday.
The grand ceremony was organized by the Dima Hasao District administration and was attended by DHAC CEM Debolal Gorlosa as Chief Guest.
Welcoming the crowd, District Commissioner Simanta Kr. Das, briefed about the objective of the programme of distribution of Orunodoi 2.0 cards to new beneficiaries under the Orunodoi 2.0 scheme.

A video message from Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Orunodoi 2.0 was played. In the district, with the inclusion of more than 5000 new beneficiaries the updated edition of this property alleviation scheme will be Rs 2.80 crore including 14000 old beneficiaries. It has more than 19000 beneficiaries.
In the programme, Chief Guest CEM Gorlosa termed this scheme ‘Orunodoi’ as the largest social-sector scheme in the history of the state with the capability of radically transforming the lives of millions of its residents around the state. Gorlosa said, “Altogether 5000 new beneficiaries have been added to Orunodoi 2.0. With this, the total number of beneficiaries in the district will be around 19,000.” He also encouraged the villagers to apply for an Aadhaar card to avail not only Orunodoi but also both Central and State government schemes.
Thanking the people for their support and cooperation in all the initiatives of the schemes with the council and district administration team that have been taken under the present government.
Expressing his gratitude CEM Debolal Gorlosa said, “I extend my gratefulness to the people of Dima Hasao for keeping their trust in me and it gives me immense energy and motivation to make our district the best in the top five in the entire Assam”.
Executive Member Ngamrothang Hmar spoke on the occasion praising the present Government for its people centric schemes. Thanking the Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for his continued support to the people of this district, EM Hmar is confident that the district is going on the right path.
