Diphu : Forces of Khatkati police station of Bokajan subdivision backed by Central Reserve Police Force arrested two persons at Janak Pukhuri locality closed to Nagaland border yesterday and recovered one kilogram and thirty two gram suspected heroin worth around eight crore rupees in black market from their possession yesterday.

According to police the raid was led by the in charge officer of Khatkati police station Raman Bordoloi and Sub Divisional Police Officer of Bokajan John Das. Based on previous information police nabbed one L. Pabhai Dani aged around thirty one years and H. Thau aged around fifty two years. Both are residents of Sanapati district of Manipur.

The paddlers were trying to sneak inside Bokajan town on foot to evade police checking when they were caught; the quantity of heroin was concealed inside eighty seven soap cases. Police have also seized Rs. 37,000/- cash from them. Both the paddlers have been booked under various sections of NDPS act.
