Water Purifiers installed at DIPR as part of the declaration of plastics free zone

Kohima: The Directorate of Information & Public Relations, Nagaland, Kohima has been declared Plastic-free and Tobacco-free zone.

A short programme was held at the DIPR Conference hall today, the 3rd June 2019 where all the employees headed by the Director, IPR voluntarily and unanimously decided to ban single-use plastics in the Office premises and also declare the zone as tobacco-free.

Every officer and staff of the Directorate resolved to take it upon themselves to implement this decision and impress upon visitors to cooperate with the initiative.

To facilitate the decision, Aquaguard water purifiers have been installed in all the floors of the office building where employees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. The staff also volunteered to abstain from bringing and using plastic bags in the office.
