Diphu : The Karbi Cultural Society has requested the President of India, to attend the golden jubilee celebration of Karbi Youth Festival in the month of February 2024 as the chief guest and inaugurate the celebration.

Disclosing the information President of Karbi Cultural Society, Chondrosing Kro said that a delegation of Karbi Cultural Society met the President at Kaziranga during the observation of the Gaj Utsav at Kohora on Friday last and requested her on behalf of the organization.

Chondrosing Kro informed that the President has accepted the invitation of Karbi Cultural Society and has consented to attend the event. Kro supposed that it’s a long time to go and if everything goes as planned, people of Karbi Anglong will be able to welcome the tribal President of India in their homeland.
