Drug peddlers arrested in Diphu

Diphu :  Based on a secret input as regards drug peddling in the Dewan Basti locality of Diphu town, a team of police led by an officer in charge of Diphu police station Inspector JS Khobung raided the residence of one Md Kobir Hussain located at Dewan Basti yesterday evening at around 7:30 PM.

During the raid, the police recovered five plastic containers filled with suspected heroin weighing 6.96 grams from a hidden place in the room, one Insulin syringe, cash currency of Rs. 17,600/-, and four mobile phones from his ownership.

During the raid three suspected paddlers have been arrested; police have identified them as Md. Kobir Hussain aged around thirty four years and son of Lt. Abdul Latif of that area, Md. Mafidul Ali aged around twenty two years and son of Abdul Ali resident of the Matipung (Rongmirdan) area of Diphu town and Rajesh Kumar Barman aged around fifty three years resident of Dewan Basti, Diphu town. Police have booked them under various sections of the NDPS Act.
