According to Earth Day Network, this year 2019 has been dedicated for the protection of the fast depleting species on earth and also for preventing and spreading awareness about the threat of extinction. Earth Day was first celebrated in the US in the 1970s and now celebrated in at least in 192countries.

Gaylord Nelson, a US Senator from Wisconsin. Nelson has been the pioneer in globalizing the awareness and propagating the message. He has been a witness to the devastation caused by mammoth oil spill in Santa Barbara, California in 1969.

All living existence has immense value, and individually plays a unique role in the complex web of life.

We must work together to protect endangered and threatened species like bees, coral reefs, elephants, giraffes, whales and many more.
