Imphal : Cooperation Minister, Manipur Nemcha Kipgen urged the farmers in the fishery sector to execute their work sincerely and with sheer dedication, funds will be provided. This was stated during the launch programme of “Online Portal for Registration” of Cooperative Societies and inauguration of Training Program for Farmers held today at Cooperative Complex, Lamphelpat, Imphal.

While mentioning that cooperative is the only effective tool to developed Manipur, Minister Nemcha Kipgen reiterated the role of cooperative movement in the socio-economic development of the state. She earnestly appealed all to make Manipur, a model cooperative State in India as well as all over the world.

She stated that the newly launched portal for registration of cooperative societies will ease the process involved in the registration. People can register at their own convenience at the tip of their finger through the newly launched portal, she added.

Cooperation Minister further informed that through the portal, one can check the status of their registration. As per Manipur Public Services Delivery Guarantee Act, 2021, registration must be completed within 30 Days, stated Smt Nemcha.

The Minister called upon all to utilized the portal with a sole objective to developed the socio-economic condition of the people.

It may be mention that the newly launched online portal for cooperative registration is taken up under the initiative of “Business Reforms Action Plan” (BRAP). This initiative will ease G2C (Government to Citizen) services and C2G (Citizen to Government) services for Ease of Doing Business (EODB).

Nemcha highlighted that fishery sector plays an important role in utilizing the State’s available resources for economic growth. To improve the condition of fishery cooperative societies in Manipur, Minister informed that the Cooperation Department, Manipur have approached NCDC for financial assistance under Fishery project which will include both loan and subsidy i.e. 70 percent loan and 25 percent subsidy.

Additional Chief Secretary (Cooperation), P. Vaiphei, Special Secretary (Cooperation), Mannuamching and Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Manipur, Arambam Valentina, also graced both the functions.
