Kokrajhar-based regional political party ‘Gana Suraksha Party’ has nominated John Bernard Sangma, a retired IAS officer, from the Diphu (ST) Parliamentary Constituency in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election.

Naba Kumar Sarania, sitting Lok Sabha member from Kokrajhar and president of Gana Suraksha Party said that his party will contest from Darang, Udalguri, Kokrajhar, Diphu and probably from Nagaon.

In a ceremony held at Dimasa Club Sangma was introduced with the party workers by Naba Kumar Sarania, GSP Karbi Anglong district president Soboram Hazarika, and general secretary Rajen Bordoloi.

A meeting was held with the party workers to discuss electioneering procedure and plan for acquiring support.

 Sarania informed that his party is contesting in fifty seats in India, counting states like Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Maharashtra, and the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
