Haflong : With rest of the district, Haflong Government College organized the World Environment Day celebration in association with District Administration in front of the Boy’s Hostel Haflong Govt. College on Monday.

Chief Guest D M Goala, ADC planted the saplings on the occasion of WED in Hostel premises in presence of Principal M Daolagupu and others.

This was followed by a Seminar where Special deliberation on the theme beat plastic pollution was delivered by Dr.Chinmoy Kumar Phukan at the Seminar hall in presence of huge gathering of students and faculty members.

Chief Guest Goala appealed to the people to give a thought on plastic pollution slowly slowly  so that we can give a place for good living to our next generation.

Principal  Daolagupu in her welcome speech dwelt at length regarding the present day’s situation on plastic pollution and appealed to all and the students in particular to bring some change in our daily life by reducing use of plastic.

Earlier a pledge was taken by all present in the seminar hall.
