The Diphu police on Sunday arrested three persons and recovered heroin and cash worth Rs 23,940 in Diphu. According to sources, the police carried out an operation in the Sarsari area located in the fringe of Diphu town yesterday morning and recovered the cash along with heroin from the house of Abdul Khalek a history-sheeter.

The police picked up Khalek, his wife Gita Das and Kheiruk Uddin alias Babu. A plastic case and tobacco container with suspected heroin were recovered from each of them.

In another incident, Khatkati police of Bokajan raided a house at Lahorijan Tila Bosti, around 6.00 pm yesterday and recovered 14 plastic tobacco containers containing heroin from the house of one Jabir Hussain.

 The recovered measure of heroin is 99.09 grams, later police arrested Jabir Hussain aged around thirty years.
