India has lots to celebrate with its athlete securing two top spots in the Men’s Javelin Throw F64 at the Dubai 2019 World Para Athletics Championship

Sandeep Chaudhary, clinched gold with a throw of 66.18m, which is also a new World Record.

Sumit of India secured silver with the throw of 62.88m. The bronze was bagged by Roman Novak from Ukraine with 57.36m throw.

Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju congratulated the duo.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) supervises the organisation of the Summer and Winter Paralympic Games. It organises ten sports, for which it oversees and co-ordinates the World Championships and other competitions, including athletics.
