Guwahati : Furthering its commitment to transform the lives of communities by improving their socio-economic conditions, Indus Towers Ltd., under its CSR flagship program Saksham and in partnership with Shishu Sarothi, a Non-Profit organization based in Assam, announces scholarships for 2023-24 to 180 students under Indus Towers Scholarship Program, across the Northeast region.

These scholarships will be given to eligible candidates who are pursuing academic/professional courses at levels ranging from Higher Secondary to Post Graduation or vocational/skill building course. Additionally, young graduates who are preparing for Bank/Government jobs or civil services examinations can also apply for the scholarship.

Of the 180 scholarships, a few are also reserved for exceptional students from outside the Northeast region studying in institutions recognized by the Government of India.

The selected students will be provided with support such as study materials, assistive equipment and devices, conveyance allowance, and hostel fees to facilitate and motivate them to complete their chosen courses.

This program has been able to create sustained benefits to the students as they prepare for academics or professional courses and coaching for employment and career-oriented examinations.”

Indus Towers Scholarship Programme implemented by Shishu Sarothi was launched in 2016 with the objective of encouraging and supporting students with disability and has since supported 644 students with disability to pursue higher education so far.

Additionally, career counseling sessions and rights awareness programs are conducted for the scholars in each state, to motivate and inspire them in their educational pursuits and journey of economic empowerment.
