Experts say the number of birds visiting Jatinga is decreasing due to climate changes and disturbances in their migration route

The world famous bird phenomenon at Jatinga began with the arrival of Winged guests like three-toed kingfishers, black drango,  koel, cattle egret, etc but in less in numbers.

The phenomenon started at around 11.17 pm Tuesday and lasted for 1 am Wednesday.

All the specified locations in and around Jatinga were covered with dense fog creating favourable environment for the birds.

People who have πš πš’πšπš—πšŽπšœπšœπšŽπš the mysterious bird phenomenon at Jatinga appealed to all to create awareness of the protection and preservation of these winged guests of Jatinga and enjoy their visit to Jatinga.

Mention may be made here that as many as 42 varieties of birds including tiger bittern, purple moorhen, green pigeon, whistling teal, etc were found at Jatinga in the early days.

Experts say the number of birds visiting Jatinga is decreasing due to climate changes and disturbances in their migration route.

The District Administration has already imposed 144 prohibiting the use of high power light in Jatinga.
