Recovered drugs have been valued at more than 24 crore rupees in the international market


Diphu : Karbi Anglong police achieved a major success in their battle for drugs curtailment on Monday in Khatkhati locality of Bokajan subdivision bordering Nagaland. Along with recovery of huge quantities of heroin police have arrested two drug traffickers; Recovered drugs have been valued at more than 24 crore rupees in the international market.
According to police, one truck bearing registration No NL 01 AD 8728 was intercepted at Khatkhati based on definite input, the vehicle was rummaged around and a quantity of packets containing 4kilogram and109 gram heroin concealed in cardboard box inside particular place of the truck was recovered.
The truck was on its way to Guwahati from Dimapur city of Nagaland. The arrested man was identified by police as Ikbal Mahammad and Sayal Akbar of Manipur. In this operation the police team was led by D S P Karbi Anglong and Sub Divisional Police Officer of Bokajan John Das.
