The Integrated Draft Electoral Rolls for the year 2023 was published on Wednesday by Deputy Commissioner of the Karbi Anglong Madhumita Bhagwati, in presence of local media at her office.

Addressing the press the Deputy Commissioner said that the dates for filing claims and objections, and correction for electors of the Diphu Legislative Assembly Constituency and Howraghat constituency will be received by December 8, 2022.

She informed that Diphu LAC has recorded an increase of 265 voters while Howraghat showed a decrease of 96 voters.

She declared that special campaigns would be conducted on Saturdays and Sundays till December 8 to expedite the claims and objections process; all claims and objections will be settled within December 26, 2022, and an update of the voter’s list will be ready by January 3, 2023, which will be published on Jan 5, 2023.
