Diphu :   The Forest Department under the administrative jurisdiction of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council knocked down a large number of illegal construction and temporary structures in the interior forest area the length of Diphu-Lumding road, around twelve kilometers from Diphu police station yesterday.

Around forty illegal constructions were pulled down by forest officials in presence of Assistant Conservator of Forest, Divisional Forest Officer and Range Officer. Around two hundred forest staff took part in the eviction drive approved by Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang.
