Diphu :  In the continuing crackdown on drugs smuggling Karbi Anglong police seized more than half kilogram heroin from a truck during routine checking at Lahorijan police checkpoint of Bokajan subdivision, Karbi Anglong district bordering Nagaland yesterday.

According to police the one Tata DI Pick-up bearing Registration No. AS11 DC4350 was intercepted as per secret input and during search forty five soap cases containing 529.36 grams of heroin were found concealed within the auxiliary wheel of the vehicle.

In this case police have arrested Th Boby aged around twenty one years and Pusham Abdul Hasim aged around twenty six years both hails from Imphal West district of Manipur.
