Diphu : Karbi Anglong police attained a remarkable feat in restraining proliferation of illegal arms by recovering a huge number of lethal weapons from a hidden place of eastern Karbi Anglong yesterday.
Superintendent of Police, Karbi Anglong Shri Sanjib Kumar Saikia in a press conference held at his office told the media that forces of Howraghat police station made a search for hidden illegal weapons based on a specific input on Wednesday.
The team of police was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarter), Officer In Charge of Howraghat commenced an operation at Doidak area commanded by Dokmoka police station, during search police recovered huge quantities of weapons concealed deep underneath the ground.
