Diphu : The new Greater Diphu Bazaar Committee has taken charge of Diphu market with approval of the Taxation department of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council on April 4 officially for the year 2023-24.
The new committee is headed by Bidya Sing Tisso as president, Sanjay Timung as Vice- President, Tinku Engti G. Secretary, Soron Sing Rongpi Assistant General Secretary, Jiban Bey and Ajay Kramsa, Finance secretary , Sosil Rongpi Assistant Finance Secretary , Rajib Timung Office Secretary , Prasan Tisso, Assistant Office Secretary , Reshop Kathar Publicity Secretary , Joyel Terang, Assistant Publicity secretary.

After taking charge the new president of the committee told the media that this working group has been constituted with approval of the Chief Executive Member of the council Tuliram Ronghang. He said that the new committee will work for the betterment of Diphu market.
Tisso mentioned that his committee will prevent unlawful collection of money from the market in the name of donation by organizations and individuals by harassing the business community. Tisso principally mentioned that the committee will stop entry of Urea fertilizer fed fishes coming from neighboring districts into Diphu market.
