Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has declared that there will be no lockdown in the state right now
All on a sudden Diphu town is witnessing a sudden escalation in COVID 19 cases and as of now, total positive cases have gone up to seventeen. According to the official source, all the positive cases have been admitted to Diphu Medical College and Hospital and are undergoing treatment.
Maximum positive cases have been detected among the job seekers who reached Diphu from outside the state traveling in rail to appear for interview and physical test conducted by Assam Rifle authority in its camp located in the fringe of the town. However encouraging part of the issue is, till now no outbreaks of the deadly disease have taken shape in this locality. Strong vigil by authority is continuing alongside vaccination of children within the age group of fifteen to eighteen.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has declared that there will be no lockdown in the state right now. “The COVID-19 cases are rising alarmingly in the state along with the rest of the country and we need to follow the COVID protocols but no lockdown will be imposed as of now. We will have to move without hampering the economy and livelihood of the people,” the Chief Minister said.
