Bokajan police seized 300 bags of Urea and a truck
Diphu : Bokajan police seized 300 bags of Urea and a truck, bearing the registration number ‘AS 03 BC 8888’ carrying the urea hiding the fertilizer below a deposit of bags of refined flour. The urea was being taken to Dimapur city of Nagaland. The police recovered the urea during a routine checking of vehicles on National Highway 39.
Police have arrested Ranjan Bhujan aged around twenty years resident of Titabor in Jorhat and Rokib Ali aged around twenty seven years dweller of Mokokchung district of Nagaland.
According to police the truck did not have valid documents like valid fertilizer allotment order from competent authority; Government regulations mandate that retailers sell urea at a fixed price in a particular area through their outlets at the government-fixed price. District Fertilizer Depot Manager of Assam State Marketing Board, generally looks after the distribution system of Urea in the state.
