Diphu :   Relatives and family members of sexually harassed young women of around eighteen years have lodged a complaint against a person  in Mailoo police outpost of  West Karbi Anglong few days back. The victim girl has told the local media the accused Ashok Chauhan was harassing her since last one month and that day molest her.

In the First Information Report filed by the victim’s family, the accused has been indicted with physically and mentally torturing their minor daughter. Allegedly Ashok Chaulan is associated with ruling BJP party and is an active member. Both the victim and the accused reside in the same village of Masuka, Hawaipur in West Karbi Anglong District.   

Purportedly the happening came to the knowledge of her guardian when the victim managed to get away from the grip of the accused, and took shelter in her neighbor’s residence. She divulged the incident to her neighbors and guardian. Based on her statement, Mailoo police have registered a complaint and begun an investigation.
