Diphu : Apex BJP leaders of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council have been campaigning in 10 Jirang MLA constituencies of Meghalaya since yesterday which is going for legislative assembly poll on February 27.

BJP leaders consisting of Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang, MLA of Diphu Bidya Sing Engleng, MLA of Howraghat Dorsing Ronghang, powerful Executive Member of the council Amarsing Tisso and board chairman’s are campaigning in that constituency.

The leaders are mainly making an attempt to gather two thousand eight hundred Karbi community votes in support of BJP. Young lady Riya Sangma is contesting from BJP in Jirang constituency which is connected with West Karbi Anglong autonomous district.

The leaders held several meetings in pocket areas and toured the Karbi dominated localities of Jirang. Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council Tuliram Ronghang appealed to his community for voting BJP to power for the interest of rapid development and lasting peace in the region.He mentioned that Karbi Anglong and Meghalaya have a bonding of companionship since time in memorial.
