NEWS 1 – Assam-Meghalaya border situation escalates. No vehicles are allowed to enter Meghalaya from Assam. Four people were killed in firing along the Assam border this morning. Among them is a forest guard. The incident took place in Makum village of West Jaintia Hill near the Karbi Anglong district of the Assam-Meghalaya border. Superintendent of Police Imdad Ali of Karbi Anglong district said that a signal was given to stop a timber smuggling truck at the check post. But the truck ignored the signal and drove away.

Three people were arrested from the truck after a short chase. Later, when the police went to fetch the confiscated wood, they were attacked by the locals. Both parties clashed over this. The police opened fire. Four people including a forest guard were killed in the incident, said the Superintendent of Police.

NEWS 2- The whole country is following Gujarat model. And credit goes to the people of Gujarat for this. Because they are making BJP win again and again. Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Bishwa Sarma made this comment at an election rally in Gujarat. He said Gujarat has provided a model which is being practiced in every state of the country. So he urged the BJP to win the next election to save the Gujarat model.

NEWS 3- Congress is not uniting India but is breaking India. This comment was made by BJP’s All India President JP Nadda in an election meeting in Gujarat. He said that Rahul Gandhi is associating with various anti-India people. Referring to Medha Patekar in particular, he said, they were in support of anti-India sloganeering in JNU. Rahul Gandhi stood shoulder to shoulder with Afzal Guru’s supporters. So he called this journey Bharat Tado Yatra.

NEWS 4- All types of vehicles from the Cachar district have been banned from entering Meghalaya. Cachar Superintendent of Police Numal Mahata said that this measure has been taken as a precautionary measure looking into today’s border incident where four people have died in a police firing. However, vehicles with Meghalaya numbers are being allowed to go. He said that this instruction is temporary.

NEWS 5- Fear of leopards prevailed in Kalain Bhairabpur of the Katigora area of the Cachar district. So far a total of four people have been injured by leopards The incident took place on Monday at seven in the morning. Primary education institutions in the area have been closed. Normal traffic has been stopped. Aftab Uddin, Atab Uddin, Diluar Hussain, and Achma Begum were seriously injured. With sticks in hand, the youths of the village have gone out in search of leopards. Kalain Forest Department has been informed.


Two leopards are hiding to eat village rice. Although the forest department personnel are present at the spot, there is no trace of the wild beasts. Panic prevails in the area, it is speculated that the leopards came to Bhairavpur from the Barail hills during the last floods.

NEWS 6- The police administration has sealed the vehicular movement on National Highway 6 of the Assam-Meghalaya border at Katigora. In view of the Karbi Anglong and Meghalaya border clashes, the police have temporarily closed the entry to Meghalaya through Katigora. Cachar SP Numal Mahato and ASP Subrata Sen have come to Malidhar on the Katigora-Meghalaya border to monitor the situation.

NEWS 7- Shiv Sena will not compromise on Hinduism and Savarkar. Shiv Sena leader MP Sanjay Raut said this in an interview with NDTV. He said Shiv Sena has compromised on some issues while observing the alliance obligations. But Congress has already been told that there will be no compromise on Hinduism and Savarkar.

NEWS 8- The Barak Democratic Front is holding an all-party meeting to decide on building a larger movement during the cabinet meeting to be held at Silchar. If several issues, including the deprivation of Barak’s unemployed, are not resolved, BDF supremo Pradeep Dutta Roy in a press conference said that the movement against deprivation will continue. He also questioned why the Chief Minister could not fulfill the promises made before the election.
