NEWS 6– Extorting money in the name of giving jobs, one fraudster was arrested and handed over to the police, in Kachudaram, a fraudster was arrested for embezzling money in the name of giving a job and the police arrested the job-seeking crowd. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon at Nikamapar village of Bhubanhil GP under the Kochudaram police station area.

Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, a person named Sudip Bhattacharya of the Motinagar area is collecting Rs 8000 to 10000 Rupees from a person stating that one male & 2 females can get jobs. Later he introduced them to a person named Sushen Sinha from Badarpur in the Karimganj district. The incident happened in December 2019. Meanwhile, despite giving money, no one got a job.

Sushen Sinha was called to Nikamapar village luring him by new job seekers on Wednesday. When he came then the Kachudaram police were called he was handed over to the police. Meanwhile, a statement was filed accusing Sudeep Bhattacharya and Sushen Sinha at night. However, Sudeep Bhattacharya is yet to return. It is also known that Sudeep Bhattacharya is the general secretary of BJP’s Binnakandi Mandal Committee.

NEWS 7- Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Memorial Development Forum, a social organization, has demanded the introduction of President’s rule in the state due to the deterioration of the law and order situation in Meghalaya. The President of the forum, Haran Dey, a prominent journalist, made a demand on Twitter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that now the situation in Meghalaya including Shillong is such that Assam vehicles are attacked on sight. On Wednesday, 20 Assam vehicles were vandalized in one day.

Traffic going to Barak Valley, Tripura and Mizoram have been disrupted due to the closure of Jowai-Badarpur National Highway 6. Therefore, the forum feels that there is no option except President’s rule to improve the law and order situation in that state.
