NEWS 1 – Chhattisgarh government made 76 percent reservations in jobs and education. This decision was taken after a recent Supreme Court verdict. A bill in this regard was passed in the assembly on Saturday. The new bill has a 32 percent reservation for tribals. Total reservations in the state now are 76 percent

NEWS 2 – Three people were killed in an explosion at the house of a Trinamool Congress worker in West Bengal. The blast took place in Bhupatinagar of Medinipur district. The explosion took place at the house of a Trinamool Congress worker named Babul Manna. The house was destroyed. Three people died including Babul Manna. BJP vice-president Dilip Ghosh blamed Trinamool Congress for this incident. West Bengal opposition leader Subvendu Adhikari demanded an NIA probe into the incident.

NEWS 3 – Assam Chief Minister Himanta did not keep his pre-election promises echoed Trinamool leader MP Sushmita Dev. Today, in a press conference, she spoke about the promises made by the Chief Minister after the cabinet meeting organized in Silchar. She said the Chief Minister himself admitted in the press meeting after the cabinet, that he had promised to reserve for Barak region in the third and fourth grade appointments. But After the election, it did not happen anymore.

NEWS 4 – After being closed for almost nine months, the local betel nut export of Barak Valley has resumed from Saturday. On this day, in the presence of SP Numal Mahatto, ASP Subrata Sen, Gumra in-charge Manabjyoti Malakar from the Eastern Way Bridge at Kalainchara on National Highway No. 6, the trucks loaded with local betel nuts were checked for weight and other documents and sent towards Guwahati.

Trucks of these local betel nuts from Barak Valley will be offloaded at Amingao in Guwahati. Traders can take these betel nuts to different parts of Assam only after conducting extensive testing there.

NEWS 5 – The activists of Karimganj District BJP Youth Morcha protested by burning the effigy of Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, the head of AIUDF, who made indecent comments against Hindus. On Saturday, the officials of Karimganj Youth Morcha were seen protesting against Ajmal by burning the effigy of Dhubri MP and AIUDF chief and shouting slogans against him
