NEWS 1- The Parliament was in turmoil on Tuesday over the clash between the Indian and Chinese armies at Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The opposition demanded a statement from the Prime Minister in this regard. Later, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told Parliament that on December 9, some Chinese soldiers tried to cross the Line of Control and enter India. Then the Indian army stopped them. Although there were some skirmishes between the two sides, no Indian soldiers were killed or injured.
Indian troops bravely countered this Chinese attack. On the other hand, the opposition is saying that the incident took place on December 9 and then why the government remained silent about it for three days. Does this mean that the government is showing a soft attitude toward China? The opposition did a walkout from the parliament.
NEWS 2- The Supreme Court ordered all concerned parties to sit in discussion on whether the base year of NRC will be 71 or 51. The next hearing will be held on January 10. A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Tuesday in view of a petition filed by the Samalita Mahasangh. The Maha Sangh has demanded that 1951 be the foundation year. However, AASU filed an affidavit in court arguing for 1971 as the base year.
In a directive, the Supreme Court asked both parties to sit down and discuss the matter under the leadership of the Attorney General.
NEWS 3 -The Center is launching a portal to control madrasas. Today, a directive of the Union Home Ministry has informed that from now on some rules will be introduced for all types of recognized and unrecognized madrasas. All the information about madrasas should be submitted in a portal. A statement regarding what information to submit will be issued shortly. Assam government had already taken such measures. The Central Government will issue a statement in this regard for the Union Territories.
NEWS 4- The Cachar police of Assam have once again blocked the local betel nut-carrying trucks at the abandoned tollgate of Kalainchara on National Highway No. 6. For the past two days, the movement of local people and others is being disrupted due to the presence of these trucks laden with local betel nuts on this part of the national highway. Especially the entrance of Kalainchara Gurudwara is completely blocked by these vehicles. No one knows why the police stopped about a hundred Guwahati-bound local betel nuts-laden trucks. The Gurdwara’s Baldev Singh and other truck drivers have commented strongly about this.
NEWS 5- People are being attacked by bees. A woman has already died. For the past one week, common people have been panicked by the bee attack in Sonbarighat One and Two blocks. A swarm of bees attacked a few people in Dhanehari I-Khand at Sonabarighat GP on Tuesday.
An atmosphere of panic and fear prevails in this area. Locals are chasing away bees with fire smoke. General traffic has to face obstacles. Students are crossing this place at risk. The attack has been going on for weeks. Sonabarighat GP’s representative Samchul Haque Barabhuiya drew the attention of the administration. He threatened to block the road on Wednesday if the administration does not take action.
