NEWS 1 – Today’s winter session of Parliament hotted up over the clash in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh. The opposition demanded a special discussion on the issue. Congress was vocal as to why the Prime Minister has adopted silence on this issue. Aam Aadmi Party questioned why the Prime Minister is not commenting on Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.
NEWS 2- Controversy raises over installation of Savarkar’s oil painting in Karnataka Assembly. Savarkar’s oil painting was installed in the Karnataka Assembly premises today. Congress has moved on this. The BJP government has done this for the purpose of not discussing other issues in the assembly, Karnataka Congress leader Siddhi Ramaiah commented.
NEWS 3- Evacuation drive started today in Batdraba, the birthplace of Mahapurush Shankaradev in Assam. The eviction operation started today with a huge force of 6000 policemen to clear the encroachment of 985 bigha land. In the history of Assam, there has not been such a big eviction campaign.
NEWS 4- Rift again in Telangana Congress. 13 top officials of the party have left the party. Congress has been in crisis for a long time in Telangana. A few days ago, some people joined Congress from Telugu Desam. They are more important in the party. So, the old Congressmen left the party.
NEWS 5- The cement factory was closed after the Congress took over in Himachal Pradesh. Ambuja Cement was bought by Adani Group. Himachal Pradesh government was compelled to buy cement from this group. After Congress came to power, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh cancelled this purchase order. Adani Group closed the two factories.
NEWS 6- Bharatiya Kisan Sangh today staged a protest at Ramlila Maidan on various demands of farmers. This RSS-influenced farmers’ organization sat on a dharna in support of some of the farmers’ demands. This organization is vocal in the demand to fix the price of various products for some more benefits.
NEWS 7- The ‘Mahajot’ to take to the streets from Sealdah to Dharmatala on Monday to demand deserving jobs. On this day, about 9 organizations of job seekers joined a grand procession for their justified demands. This movement will spread not only to Kolkata or West Bengal, but also to other states if necessary. These organisations warned.
NEWS 8- Tension prevails in the entire area last night following dragging of a person from Patel Nagar of Suprakandi to Nilam Bazar about ten kilometers away by Winger vehicle bearing TR 02 B 2170. The unfortunate person died on the spot. Though the winger tried to escape, the Patharkandi police from Achimganj managed to arrest it. It is known that the unfortunate pedestrian’s name is Devesh Das, about 60 years of age, residing in Nilambazar Thana Suprakandir-Patel Nagar.
As a result of being pushed and dragged along the road for more than 10 kilometers, the body of the unfortunate man was scattered in pieces on the Assam-Tripura National Highway in front of Nilambazar thana. Nilambazar Police Station OC Dipjyoti Malakar tried to save the dead body when the common people did not come near the pieces of the dead body due to fear. The OC had recovered the body parts from the road and kept them in the police station. The vehicle has been taken into police custody.
